Sevenoaks Stable Redevelopment

This charming stable building had stood unused for years when our clients approached us with an exciting vision: transform it into a beautiful modern living space whilst preserving its historic character. The building's traditional construction and rural setting presented unique challenges but also tremendous potential.

The clients wanted to create a self-contained annexe that could serve as guest accommodation, a home office, or future residential letting. Maintaining the building's external character whilst creating a comfortable, contemporary interior was paramount.

Working with existing structures requires a different approach to new builds, and our team's experience proved invaluable. We carefully assessed the building's structural integrity, strengthening where necessary whilst preserving original features wherever possible.

The project involved installing new foundations in sections, upgrading the roof structure and insulation, and creating entirely new internal layouts. Traditional materials were sourced to match the existing building externally, whilst modern techniques and finishes created a bright, comfortable interior.

Throughout the redevelopment, we maintained sensitivity to the building's heritage, ensuring the finished space feels authentic whilst meeting all modern building regulations.
